A Glarner startup wants to break through

There is a lot going on in the Digital Chalet Schwanden (GL). Some months ago, the company ungleich started to test their Data Center Light prototype. The relocation process into the big factory hall of the famous Spinnerei Linthal AG is already in full swing.

It's been more than 2 years since ungleich began to provide the servers on the internet, which is called as „VM (virtual machine) hosting“. ungleich already managed to win over a number of small and big customers, mostly other cutting-edge IT companies. With the fast-growing demand of VM hosting, ungleich is expanding their data center in the canton of Glarus. The innovative company wants to increase their client base in the Glarnerland but also in Switzerland. Which is why the company is in need of more advertising. But far-reaching advertising is not always cost-effective. So here comes in the idea of founding a company „ungleich glarus ag“. The plan is to finance the much-needed advertising by selling the shares of this new stock company.

In order to get as much support as possible in a short time, ungleich is initiating a crowdfunding campaign. The launch of crowdfunding campaign is set for 8pm tonight. The extraordinariness of this fundraising is the return one gets when one supports the project. ungleich will not only sent the supporters goodies likes t-shirts or vouchers but also participation certificates of the company itself. The purchase of the shares will be available only during the crowdfunding campaign. A part of the profit will be distributed to the shareholders, the company estimates it in three years of time.

Data Center Light is truly open source. On top of their seriously FOSS (free and open source software) tech stack, ungleich uses efficient, self-developed softwares perfectly tailored to the need of its data center.
The company sees itself as a part of the FOSS community and wants to give back, by staying cutting-edge with the best and the latest FOSS.

ungleich has big plans

In 2015, the company moved to Glarus and immediately fell in love with the canton in the east of Switzerland. Since then ungleich has been pushing forward for the innovation and digitalisation in Glarus. Back in the days the region was leading the economy of Switzerland - which many locals still vividly remember. ungleich sees Glarus as the future key player in digitalisation of Switzerland.
